    “The poles shattered the first day we set up the 14 x 12 ft screen tent with a little wind and rain. I am very disappointed and I have tried to contact customer service multiple times to no avail. We ended up throwing the screen tent in the dumpster as the shattered poles ripped the screening. We paid a lot of money for this tent and now we have nothing. I am very disappointed in the quality of the product and the company for not returning my call. I will not purchase another Northwest Territory item again. You have ruined my trust in your company.”

    “First time setting up tent the zipper stripped due to tension from the poles (design - nothing I can affect). Now over 1/3 of the door constantly hangs open due to stripped zipper that won't zip allowing rain and bugs to come into the tent. We're on fixed income and can't replace so we're stuck with a product that can't be fixed. Due to the tension we can't even tape the door shut.

    Called customer service and they told me that the zipper is not under warranty and that there is nothing they will do. I find it absurd that this company won't stand behind their product/design. This problem was not caused by faulty use or improper setup - completely a design flaw with a faulty zipper. Disappointed.”

    “I bought the dino kids tent on sale as an impulse buy. However I wish I had purchased 4 more at that time. My grandchildren love it and always want to know were dino tent is? It is the first thing out for them to play with and the item left up for the next morning. The children are getting to big for all 4 to fit in the tent. So I going to purchase more tents as soon as possible. I have had this one for 5 years and it is played with regularly and it is in the same wonderful shape it was when I purchased it.

    “I called the CS number and got through the second time after a short wait. Nathan was courteous, helpful and personable. He made the replacement of the missing part from our new 16' X 16' tent a simple prompt matter with enjoyable, friendly, English speaking service that is so uncommon in big business these days. The tent is awesome and simple to erect with the attached instructions. The sale price was excellent at a Kmart store while vacationing in Maine recently 8/12. My experience with this company has been nothing but positive.”

    “What a pleasure to deal with this company, after reading the reviews I was not so sure but I called on July 25 and my call was returned within 3 hrs. I was given the 2 measurments of the hubs. The next day I emailed back with what I would need and again within 2 hrs had a response. Called on July 26 and placed my order, the shipment left July 27 and I received it on Aug 4 in Canada. The girls were freindly, helpful and quick. I would definatly deal with this company again based on the customer service I received. I was a very enjoyable experiance and I would like to thank the girls for the great service.”

    “Broke a tent pole for my tent ,thought I would have to replace the tent , found a toll free number on the tent bag and call and left a message , well what a nice suprise when I recieved a phone call the next day . who ever helped me should be commended not only did she replace the pole ,but at no cost I was touch . Camping for me is an inexpensive and I am on a fixed income . Again a million thanks.”

    “I got a camp cot as a gift. The end cap that fits into the cross bar on the end of the cot did not have the little knob that the bar hooks onto. The knob was missing. Looks like a bad design because the opening in the bar looks like it would damage the knob(s) I need a replacement”

    “I called,spoke with Trish.Brand new out of box Camp Cot,set it up very nice esay to use.Carry bag zipper kept spliting will not zip.Trish said replacement would be in spring?? Trish wants me to take it back to store well that might be ok, but I am traveling do not have sale slip with me.using the velcro in tell i get back witch won't be tell january 5,2011.I will call and try to reorder.”

    “I called to request an owners manual for my tent. I spoke with Amy, who was very friendly and helpful. I did not get put on hold, and she spoke english!
    For those of you needing tent pole replacements. Forget the fiberglass ones. I bought 4 lengths of 1/2 PVC pipe, and a 1/2 cross to connect them together at the top. Works great, less inexpensive, and much sturdier. This is on a 10' x 13' dome (WT-101310).”

    “I had actually forgotten what customer service was. I left a message after a long wait on hold (about 10 min) To my surprise, i had a message that they had called me back. This was encouraging enough for me to call back and sit on hold again. This time however, I got someone fairly quickly. They spoke ENGLISH and actually in a good mood. The girl there obviously likes her job. Way to go!”

    “I've tried several times to contact this company in regards to the poles continuously breaking.The first time we used the vtent the fiberglass pole broke inside the metal connector. We were able to exchange this for a new one at the store we purchased this at but the the new one broke as well in the same spot. The store wouldn't do a refund or a second exchange on it. So I'm left dealing with a company that doesn't respond to your calls. All they seem to care about is that they got your money and not your satisfaction.”

    “I read a few reviews when I had some issues with my canopy and was a little concerned in getting results. To my surprise, I was treated very well and had a very satisfying experience, putting all worries aside.
    Thank you very much, Trish and Kerri, for your professionalism and curtious help in finding the right parts and seeing that I received them in a respectable time frame. They actually sent me a PDF of my tent frame which I in turn sent back highlitghted with the correct parts I needed. I have never had this kind of organized service from other companies I have dealt with.
    Maybe others have not had the best experience with this company, but if you have any issues and contact the right people, which I seemingly did, I would say you won't have any issues with getting your problem solved. The price was nothing less than expected and was acceptable.

    “I had both of my small tent poles for the Escort Cabin 8x11 tent break the first time I put it up. It was frustrating sleeping in a tent for a week on an island that had to be supported with ropes to trees. I had to cover the complete tent with a tarp as there was no way to attach the fly. My advice is to STAY CALM and ask for help when you get home. So when I arrived home I got the phone number from our local Canadian Tire and called HKD global and left a message with my concerns. The next day I received a call back from Amy in customer service. She was very cordial and is shipping me replacement poles at absolutely no charge. Thank you for the promp action regarding my concerns.”

    “We just tried to set up our 9 x 9 canopy tent only to find out there are no poles for the roofing. Canopy is very flimsy and very difficult to assemble. We can't return it because it was a gift from Christmas, but we just now had an opportunity to use it. Very disappointed in this product!!!!! It was a big waste of time and gift!!”

    Called but for one pole it's $9 ... I'd pay that, but the shipping is going to be $11!!
    The whole tent new cost $35.

    Not very environmentally friendly when I'll now have to trash the tent because of one broken pole ... tent is brand new condition!”

The first time we put it up to check it out before camping, the tent poles broke at the top where they met the silver metal slide they go in. Both main poles. Called twice, missed their calls back, so I am trying again. I hope this gets resolved soon.”

    “the 6 corner joints are made of cheap plastic, after a 10 mph wind on the second time of use 5 of the 6 corner joints sheared, i called HKD and they said 30 day warranty, they are $4.50/each plus $10 shipping, unlike the guy in the first post below, no good customer service, no free parts, no shipping discount, in fact he lives in the same city as the company HKD, imagine that? and that was just from wind, imagine if it had rained? all 6 joints would probably have failed, so do i dump $32 for 5 corner joints, i don't think so, not putting any more money into a sinking ship, don't waste your time or money on these products, nordic cross model 21-013.”

    “Purchased this tent in april so I could go camping with my 7 grandkids. Great fair weather tent with penty of room when I take 4 kids with me. First major rain event right before christmas and I now have a tent that can't be repaired and all the other camping needs. When room complased in the middle of night we ended up staying in car until we were able to see damage and then salavaged what we could.”

    “I have had a bad experience with this company. I bought my first tent, and giving it a trial run set it up in the backyard. Not only did one of the poles break, there was also a hole in the rain fly. I took it back to the store to exchange and two of the poles broke on the second one. I've tried contacting customer service and I too was on hold forever. I finally left a message and no one has returned my call. If I don't hear back from them, I'm going to take it back to the store I bought it at and look for another tent.”

    “Unfortunately, I have NOT had a good experience with this company. In fact, I was contemplating on contacting the BBB to see if this was even a legit company. I have tried to call several times, and have been on hold for about an hour each time, I left two messages, and a couple of days later, someone finally returned my call, which i missed because I was at work at the time. I called back the next day, and what do you know..... no one was available, i had to hold, i hung up after 20 min and gave up for the day. I called back the next day, and FINALLY someone picked up!!!! so i give the lady my replacement part numbers, and my credit card info. she says it will take 7-14 days. I checked my credit card statement, there is no charge from this company, which, in return im assuming that i am not recieving my parts. Our tent is brand new, and we put it up to see what it looked like, it blew over, and broke all the top hubs. Now I have to buy a new tent, because our camping trip is coming up, and we have no parts for our tent that we haven't even used yet. How disappointing!!!!”

    “The past few years I have become disillusioned and quite cynical about customer service in dealing with a variety of businesses and companies. Dealing with HKD Global Ltd., has restored my faith in the way a company treats it's customers.

    A friend gave me a yard 'gazebo' and the first time I use it, a gust of wind knocked it over. It broke a plastic 'slider', so I called HKD and talked with a very helpful and friendly young lady. I did not know the name of the part, so could only describe it to her. She patiently searched and figured out the part I was needing. She said she would have that sent right out. Not only that, but the gazebo was under warranty and there would be no cost for the part OR the shipping. WHAT???! Unbelievable! I was stunned. I was expecting to get seven minutes of a recorded menu, only to be told the part either 1) was not available or 2) would be at a greatly inflated price with an inflated shipping/handling charge thrown in for good measure. That did not happen. The part was received in about 4 - 5 days.

    As I began working to replace the broken part, I discovered that a second 'slider' was broken, as well. Fully expecting to pay for this broken part, I again contacted HKD Global. Imagine my surprise to learn that the second part was also under warranty and there would be no charge and no postage/shipping. OH, MY GOD! In today's America? Stunned, again.

    But it's true. I received both parts without charge. HKD even paid shipping charges. My second phone call was also handled by a young lady who was friendly and extremely helpful. She didn't sound like I was interrupting her day to help me with my problem, which is so often the case today. No hassles; no 'proof' required that something was my 'fault'; no un-fair price gouging. Nothing like that.

    (A bonus to contacting HKD Global was talking to two different young ladies who both spoke clear English. True! Both of the people I spoke with sounded like English was their first language. How refreshing.)

    Finally, I cannot say enough good things about HKD Global Ltd. What a great service they provide!! This is a first class organization. And to the management and staff, I say, THANK YOU. Thank you for providing what few other companies provide today.....business integrity and genuine customer service.

    In the future, if I am making a purchase and I see HKD Global Lt. on the label, I'm buying the product. HKD Gobal Ltd. A five star company. Thanks ever so much. Kudos to all.
