Green Acres Sporting Goods has a long history in Jacksonville. Founded by John Farhat in 1970, and now managed by his son Abraham (Abie) Farhat, Green Acres is a family-owned business – and a family-operated business, too. On your first visit, you’ll note the family resemblance as brothers and cousins in the Farhat Family work throughout the store – along with other family relatives. Green Acres is a true hunter’s and sportsman’s store – and each staff member is an avid sportman (and sportswoman). Each transaction is also guided by one of our professionals, who can back up their knowledge with actual hands-on experience in the field. The store has been located on Normandy Boulevard, about one mile west of Interstate 295, since its opening
