Since 1971 Hatteras Island Surf and Sail has operated under the same ownership of Barton Decker in Waves, NC. Barton, a pioneer of windsurfing and kiting on Hatteras, along with his professional kiteboarding son Reider and their crew provide straight forward advice on kitesurf, windsurf and SUP while providing lessons, rentals and gear. Our original Surf Shop just .3 miles down the street offers surfboards and classic beach gear. Hope to see you on the water or in the shop sometime!
